Bimatoprost Can Increase Growth and Density of Eyebrow Hair: A Prospective Study on a Group of Young Women

This study investigated the effects of bimatoprost on eyebrow hair growth in 27 young women over 5 weeks, compared to sweet almond oil. Bimatoprost significantly improved eyebrow density (70% vs. 30%) and hair elongation (59% vs. 26%), but not hydration or darkness. Both treatments had similar comfort levels, but satisfaction was higher with bimatoprost (66% vs. 22%). Adverse events were minor and resolved spontaneously. The study concludes that bimatoprost is more effective than sweet almond oil for enhancing eyebrow growth, though larger studies with longer follow-ups are recommended.
