TLDR Ayurvedic treatment successfully regrew hair in a 7-year-old girl with alopecia areata.
The case report details the successful Ayurvedic treatment of a 7-year-old girl with alopecia areata, an autoimmune disorder causing hair loss. Despite previous unsuccessful treatments, the patient experienced significant hair regrowth on the scalp and eyebrows using Ayurvedic medicines like Taalkeshwar ras and Anagen Grow hair serum, following principles of Kshudra kushtha roga chikitsa and Aama janya vyaadhi chikitsa. After 8 months of treatment and three and a half years without medication, her hair and eyebrows returned to normal, indicating the potential efficacy of Ayurvedic management for alopecia areata and suggesting the need for further research.
