TLDR Anagen grow, a herbal hair serum, effectively promotes hair growth and could be an alternative to finasteride and beneficial for Minoxidil users.

In 2019, the Department of Research & Development, Dr. JRK’s Research & Pharmaceuticals Pvt. Ltd, India conducted a study on the hair growth promoting effect of Anagen grow, a poly herbal hair serum. The serum, formulated with herbs like Murraya koenigii, Lawsonia alba, Indigofera tinctoria, Hibiscus rosa sinensis, Eclipta prostrata, showed effects on hair growth elongation similar to many herbs. The spectrogram of different herbs in Anagen grow showed similarity with the profile and absorbance value of EGCG, suggesting that Anagen grow might inhibit the alpha reductase enzyme, similar to EGCG. The study concluded that Anagen grow's hair growth elongation property and possible alpha reductase enzyme inhibition made it a safe and effective hair growth promoting serum and an alternative to finasteride. It was also suggested that Minoxidil users would benefit greatly from Anagen grow for promoting hair growth and minimizing scalp dryness due to minoxidil.
