TLDR Combining FCS and MPG is more effective for treating stable vitiligo than using either alone.
This study evaluated the efficacy of follicular cell suspension (FCS), mini punch grafting (MPG), and their combination in treating stable vitiligo in 48 patients divided into three equal groups. After six months, the combination of FCS and MPG (group C) showed significantly better re-pigmentation compared to FCS alone (group A) and MPG alone (group B), with a significant difference in re-pigmentation progress among the groups (P = 0.027). However, there was no significant difference in re-pigmentation between groups A and B. The combination approach appears to be a more effective treatment strategy for resistant stable vitiligo.
