community Verteporfin Phase 1 Human Clinical Trial In The Works - Research
Verteporfin is being discussed for its potential to regrow hair and heal scars, possibly aiding hair transplants or replacing them. Some users are skeptical about its effectiveness, while others suggest combining it with microneedling for better results.
community Verteporfin and KY19382 experiment
The conversation discusses an experiment involving hair loss treatments, including the use of Verteporfin, KY19382, dutasteride, oral and topical minoxidil, AHK-Cu, and microneedling. The experiment aims to test the effectiveness of these treatments in promoting hair growth and healing without scarring, with updates planned every few months.
community What happened with verteporfin?
Verteporfin, combined with microneedling, shows promise for hair regrowth by allowing hair follicles to grow in wounds, but it's expensive and painful. Pai-1 inhibitors may also help prevent hair loss by degrading fibrosis, and some users continue using minoxidil alongside these treatments.
community Would you still need to be on finasteride if Verteporfin becomes widely used?
The conversation discusses whether finasteride would still be necessary if Verteporfin becomes a successful hair loss treatment. It also explores the sensitivity of transplanted hair to DHT and the potential for off-label use of Verteporfin post hair transplant.
