TLDR The conditioner with Serenoa serrulata and tocoferol helps reduce hair loss.
This pilot study aimed to evaluate the effectiveness of a hair conditioner containing Serenoa serrulata and tocoferol in treating androgenetic alopecia (AGA). The conditioner was applied 3-4 times per week over a period of 90 days. Serenoa serrulata is known as an inhibitor of 5 alpha reductase, an enzyme that plays a role in AGA by accelerating the hair cycle and shortening its duration. The study focused on assessing the impact of this treatment on hair loss, considering the involvement of connective tissue and surrounding pilosebaceous units in AGA.
