Alopecia universalis, a severe form of alopecia areata, involves complete hair loss on the scalp and body and is challenging to treat. This case report discusses a woman in her 40s with alopecia universalis and severe hyperthyroidism, which was resistant to various treatments. She was successfully treated with azathioprine and hydroxychloroquine, showing that this combination can be effective for managing alopecia universalis when other treatments fail.
