Scalp Folliculitis, also known as Folliculitis of the Scalp, is an inflammatory condition where hair follicles on the scalp become infected or irritated. This can result in red, itchy, and sometimes painful bumps or pustules. It is often caused by bacterial or fungal infections, but can also be triggered by irritation from hair products, tight hairstyles, or other factors. Treatment typically involves topical or oral antibiotics, antifungals, or anti-inflammatory medications, depending on the underlying cause.
