    Potassium Hydroxide (KOH), also known as caustic potash, is a strong alkaline compound commonly used in various industrial and chemical processes. It is often utilized in the production of soaps, detergents, and as a pH regulator. In a laboratory setting, KOH is used for preparing slides for microscopic examination, particularly in dermatology to diagnose fungal infections.
