Fatigue, also known as tiredness or exhaustion, is a state of physical and/or mental weariness that can result from prolonged exertion, lack of sleep, stress, or underlying medical conditions. It is characterized by a reduced capacity for work and efficiency of accomplishment, often accompanied by a feeling of lethargy and a lack of motivation. In a clinical context, fatigue can be a symptom of various health issues, including anemia, chronic fatigue syndrome, and depression.
