system that produces blood cells in bone marrow

The hematopoietic system, also known as the blood-forming system, is responsible for the production of all the cellular components of blood, including red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets. This process primarily occurs in the bone marrow, where hematopoietic stem cells differentiate and mature into various blood cells essential for oxygen transport, immune response, and blood clotting.
