    overactive immune response releasing excessive cytokines, causing severe inflammation

    A Cytokine Storm, also known as Cytokine Release Syndrome (CRS), is a severe immune reaction where the body releases an excessive amount of cytokines into the blood too quickly. This overproduction can lead to widespread inflammation, tissue damage, and potentially organ failure. It is often seen in severe infections, certain autoimmune conditions, and as a side effect of some immunotherapies.
