The M phase, also known as the Mitotic phase, is a stage in the cell cycle where a single cell divides to produce two identical daughter cells. This phase includes both mitosis (the division of the cell's nucleus) and cytokinesis (the division of the cell's cytoplasm), ensuring that each daughter cell receives an exact copy of the parent cell's genetic material.
