Centrifugation is a laboratory technique used to separate components of a mixture based on their density by spinning them at high speeds. When a sample is placed in a centrifuge, the centrifugal force pushes denser particles to the bottom of the container, while less dense particles remain closer to the top, allowing for efficient separation and analysis of different substances.
