TLDR Trigonelline nanocrystal cream effectively promotes hair growth and may reduce side effects.
The study explored the use of trigonelline (TR) nanocrystal-based topical creams for treating alopecia, with a focus on hair growth dynamics. Trigonelline, sourced from fenugreek seeds, was made into nanocrystals to improve solubility and bioavailability, then added to creams. In vivo experiments on Wistar rats showed that TR nanocrystal formulations, especially at a 10% concentration, significantly enhanced hair growth length and density compared to controls. The study concluded that TR-loaded nanocrystal cream effectively promotes hair growth, potentially allowing for reduced dosages and minimizing side effects, highlighting the promise of advanced nanotechnology in tackling hair loss issues.
