Transdermal Viprostol in the Treatment of Male Pattern Baldness

Elise A. Olsen, Elizabeth R. DeLong
TLDR Viprostol does not effectively promote hair growth in male pattern baldness.
The study involved 57 men who were treated for androgenetic alopecia with viprostol, a vehicle, or a placebo twice daily for 24 weeks. The effectiveness of the treatment was evaluated through subjective assessments and objective hair counts from macrophotographs. The results showed that nonvellus hair counts declined in all three groups by the end of the study, indicating that viprostol was not an effective promoter of hair growth in cases of androgenetic alopecia.

Regrowing hairline without the use of Minoxidil or Finasteride, and instead using mechanical stimulation such as Derma Roller, Nizoral, Zinc Pyrithione, Scalp Massage, Scalp Exercise, Fish Oil and other topical solutions. It is cautioned that there are risks associated with not using medically-prescribed treatments, but it is suggested to consider mechanical stimulation in addition to those prescribed treatments.
