Plants Used In Traditional Treatment For Boils In Turkey

    TLDR Many plants in Turkey are traditionally used to treat boils.
    The study reviewed ethnobotanical research in Turkey and identified 171 plant taxa traditionally used to treat boils, a skin condition often caused by Staphylococcus aureus. It detailed the scientific and local names, families, parts used, and usage patterns of these plants. The genera Allium, Brassica, Malva, and Plantago were highlighted as the most commonly used in boil treatment, and their biological activities were evaluated through literature screening.
