TLDR The gel may help hair regrow faster and improve skin after hair removal.
This study investigated the effects of a topical gel containing ethyl-methyl-hydroxypyridine succinate (EMHPS) on hair regrowth and skin condition in 50 adult male Wistar rats after chemical depilation. The results showed that the EMHPS gel tended to accelerate hair regrowth and improve skin biochemical parameters by reducing lipid peroxidation, normalizing antioxidant enzyme activity, and restoring hydroxyproline and glycosaminoglycan levels. These findings suggest that the EMHPS gel may be beneficial for treating alopecia forms linked to oxidative stress.
