TLDR Taurine and apocynin together improve burn healing, especially later in recovery.
The study investigated the effects of taurine and apocynin on the healing of the burn zone of stasis using 48 female Wistar albino rats. Taurine showed significant early-period benefits in epithelialization and collagenization, while apocynin had notable late-period antioxidant effects. When used together, these molecules exhibited a synergistic effect, enhancing burn healing more effectively than when used individually. The findings suggest that combining taurine and apocynin could be a promising approach for improving burn recovery.
