TLDR Adding a cosmetic gel with caffeine, taurine, and growth factors to standard hair loss treatments could improve results.
The study aimed to evaluate the efficacy of a cosmetic gel, GFM-DA, containing caffeine, taurine, and growth factors, in enhancing the effectiveness of standard androgenic alopecia (AGA) treatments like topical minoxidil and oral finasteride. The study was a randomized, investigator-blinded, prospective trial with 4 arms, involving 60 participants over 18 years with AGA. The treatments lasted six months, and the efficacy was evaluated using a Global Photographic Assessment Score (GPAS). The study concluded that the addition of GFM-DA gel could potentially improve the efficacy outcome of standard pharmacological treatments for AGA.
