TLDR Two nutritional supplements improved hair growth and reduced hair loss in women with hair loss conditions.
In a multicenter study involving 66 women with female androgenetic alopecia, acute telogen effluvium, or chronic telogen effluvium, two nutritional supplements (capsules and spray) were tested over four months. The study, conducted from January 31, 2014, to July 17, 2014, showed an increase in the percentage of hairs in the anagen phase by 8.9% after 60 days and 9.9% after 120 days. There was also a 20.1% reduction in hair loss after 60 days and a 22.4% reduction after 120 days. The average age of participants was 44.2 years. The treatments were well-tolerated, improved quality of life, and had positive patient satisfaction. Despite the positive outcomes, the study recognized the need for further research with more participants and a control group for more definitive results.
