Utilization of Stem Cells in Medicine: A Narrative Review

    This narrative review highlights the potential of stem cells in regenerative medicine, emphasizing their self-renewal capabilities and diverse therapeutic applications across medical fields such as cardiovascular, neurological, and hematological disorders, as well as wound healing. Stem cells are categorized by their differentiation potential and source, including embryonic, adult, and reprogrammed cells, each with distinct advantages and limitations. The review addresses the lack of comprehensive synthesis in existing literature by categorizing stem cell research according to medical specialty and classification, providing an exhaustive analysis of their benefits and constraints to elucidate their clinical implementation.
