TLDR The study maps how genes are regulated during mouse hair growth.
This study investigates the transcriptional regulatory mechanisms of hair follicle morphogenesis in mice using single-cell ATAC sequencing. Researchers analyzed chromatin accessibility landscapes from 6,928, 6,961, and 7,374 high-quality cells from the dorsal skins of E13.5, E16.5, and P0 mice, respectively. They identified distinct cell types at each developmental stage and further analyzed fibroblasts and keratinocytes. The study provides a detailed single-cell map of chromatin open areas, offering insights into the epigenetic regulation of mouse hair follicle development.
