TLDR Sinapic acid and glabridin together help hair growth in androgenetic alopecia.
The study explores the effects of sinapic acid and glabridin on androgenetic alopecia (AGA) by modulating ferroptosis and stabilizing β-catenin. Using DHT-induced AGA model mice, the research shows that the combination of these compounds significantly enhances hair growth, increases hair follicle density, and dermal thickness, while reducing oxidative stress markers. The treatment stabilizes β-catenin by preventing its degradation, leading to increased GPX4 expression and reduced lipid peroxidation. The findings suggest that this combination could be a promising therapeutic approach for AGA, offering an alternative to traditional treatments like finasteride and minoxidil. However, the optimal concentrations of the compounds in the mixture are yet to be determined.
