TLDR Hair loss is more common in areas with multiple hair strands, especially in men.
The study provided evidence that hair loss was more likely to occur in multi-hair follicular units, with this phenomenon being more pronounced in men. This suggested that the scalp's susceptibility to hair loss, compared to other body sites, was partly due to the higher presence of multi-hair follicular units on the scalp.
