Sarcoptic Mange in a Domestic Camel (Camelus Dromedarius)

TLDR The camel fully recovered from sarcoptic mange after 5 weeks of treatment.
An adult male camel exhibiting symptoms such as alopecia, erythema, intense pruritis, anorexia, and debility was diagnosed with sarcoptic mange caused by Sarcoptes scabiei var. cameli. The diagnosis was confirmed through deep skin scraping. The camel was treated with ivermectin at a dosage of 0.3 mg/kg body weight subcutaneously, administered weekly for three weeks, along with multivitamin supplementation and lime sulphur lotion for external application. The camel recovered successfully after 5 weeks of treatment.
