TLDR Flibanserin shows promise for treating male sexual dysfunction but has side effects like insomnia and fatigue.
This study gathered insights from 5 US physicians on the safety of flibanserin for treating sexual dysfunction in men. Physicians reported that male patients experienced similar but less frequent or severe side effects compared to premenopausal women, including somnolence, insomnia, fatigue, and dry mouth. Common reasons for discontinuation included lack of effect and side effects like insomnia and somnolence. No unanticipated side effects were reported. Physicians also noted positive response rates in treating LSD/HSDD and other sexual dysfunctions, suggesting that further research on flibanserin's use in men is warranted.
