    Tectona grandis (Teak), a valuable timber plant native to South and Southeast Asia, is renowned for its durability, resistance to termites and fungi, and beautiful surface. Its main active compounds include tectoquinone, lapachol, and deoxylapachol, along with various other phytochemicals like triterpenoids, flavonoids, and tannins. Teak is used in traditional medicine for its therapeutic properties and has been studied for numerous pharmacological activities, including antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, antimicrobial, anti-diabetic, wound healing, and hair growth properties. This review highlights the chemical composition and diverse pharmacological benefits of Tectona grandis.
