This systematic review analyzes neutrophilic alopecias of the scalp in children, focusing on dissecting cellulitis of the scalp (DCS), folliculitis decalvans (FD), and acne keloidalis nuchae (AKN). It synthesizes findings from 35 studies, noting that systemic antibiotics and retinoids are commonly used for DCS, while FD often recurs despite treatment. AKN management includes topical retinoids, antibiotics, corticosteroids, and behavioral changes. The review highlights the need for more research to optimize treatment strategies, as current data is limited and primarily affects males and those of Afro-Caribbean descent.
