TLDR Combination antibiotic therapy is more effective but causes more side effects.
The meta-analysis concluded that combination antibiotic therapy is more effective than monotherapy for severe infections, improving cure and survival rates due to broader antibacterial coverage and faster symptom relief. However, it also leads to a higher incidence of adverse reactions. The study, based on 15 references, suggests further research is needed to optimize treatment strategies by examining antibiotic types, dosages, and patient conditions.
