A 46-year-old female with localized discoid lupus erythematosus (DLE) on the scalp, who had no prior history of autoimmune disorders, showed significant improvement in her scalp lesion after being treated with a combination of oral hydroxychloroquine and topical pimecrolimus. Previous treatments, including intralesional corticosteroids, topical calcineurin inhibitors, topical corticosteroids, and systemic hydroxychloroquine alone, had limited success. This case underscores the potential effectiveness of combination therapy in managing localized DLE and offers valuable insights for future research and treatment strategies for DLE alopecia.
