Public Perception of the Benefits of Acupuncture for Addressing Hair Loss

    This study aimed to assess public perception of the benefits of acupuncture for addressing hair loss, involving 30 respondents who underwent acupuncture therapy. It was a descriptive study using a quantitative survey method with purposive sampling. Data was collected through closed questionnaires, focusing on knowledge, needs, and experiences regarding acupuncture's benefits for hair loss. The results indicated that public perception of acupuncture's benefits was very high in terms of knowledge (score 848), high in terms of needs (score 699), and high in terms of experience (score 1195). Overall, the perception was that acupuncture was beneficial, as it reduced hair loss and improved hair growth.
