Use of Platelet-Rich Plasma in Aesthetic Procedures for Skin Rejuvenation: Review of Clinical Trials

This review explores the use of platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in aesthetic procedures for skin rejuvenation, highlighting its regenerative properties such as cell proliferation, collagen synthesis, and neovascularization. The integrative literature review identified 9 studies, revealing promising results with PRP combined with hyaluronic acid and radiofrequency microneedling, while lyophilized and conventional PRP showed limited efficacy when used alone. The findings emphasize the need for further research to standardize protocols and enhance clinical outcomes.
