Recent Progress in Pharmacologic Effects and Dermatology Clinical Applications of Ligustri Lucidi Fructus and Its Active Components

Ligustri Lucidi Fructus, commonly used in Chinese dermatological practice, contained active components like oleanolic acid, ursolic acid, salidroside, and tyrosol. These components exhibited various pharmacologic effects, including hepatoprotective, antidiabetic, antiatherosclerotic, cardiovascular protection, neuroprotective, and antimicrobial actions. In dermatology, Ligustri Lucidi Fructus showed potential in anti-inflammation, anti-allergy, anti-dermatotumor activities, and promoting hair growth and melanogenesis.
