TLDR The caffeine shampoo for hair loss is stable and suitable for use.
The study focused on the pre-formulation of a caffeine-containing shampoo for treating androgenetic alopecia, a condition marked by progressive hair loss. The research aimed to evaluate the stability of the shampoo formulation by analyzing its physical-chemical parameters. Samples were stored at temperatures of 5 ± 2°C, 40 ± 2°C, and 20 ± 2°C for 15 days. The formulation demonstrated good appearance and homogeneity at different time points (T0, T7, and T15), with a viscosity of 11386 mPa.s, pH of 6.28, and density of 1.024 g/mL. The results indicated that the formulation remained stable throughout the testing period, suggesting its viability for use in compounding pharmacies.
