TLDR PEODDN is a rare skin disorder with limited treatment options, best treated with laser therapy.
Porokeratotic eccrine ostial and dermal duct nevus (PEODDN) is a rare keratinization disorder affecting eccrine ducts and hair follicles. This case involved a 30-year-old woman with asymptomatic, hyperpigmented, verrucous papules on her left upper limb, sparing the palms. Histopathology revealed hyperkeratosis, acanthosis, papillomatosis, and a unique lichenoid infiltrate. PEODDN's pathogenesis remains unclear, with theories suggesting abnormal epidermal cell proliferation or keratinization defects. Treatment options are limited, with laser therapy showing the most promise. This case was notable for its unusual presentation on the dorsum of the hand and the presence of a lichenoid infiltrate.
