TLDR Both treatments improved hair quality and thickness equally, with mild side effects.
This case series compared the efficacy and safety of Plinest Hair, a polynucleotide treatment, to platelet-rich plasma (PRP) in 11 male patients with androgenetic alopecia. Both treatments improved hair quality and thickness, with no significant differences in outcomes. Mild adverse effects, such as skin sensitivity and irritation, were reported, and pain perception was similar for both treatments. Plinest Hair was noted for its injectability and standardized formulation, potentially reducing patient risk and costs. Despite promising results, the small sample size and lack of extended follow-up suggest the need for further research with larger cohorts.
