The study focused on the extraction and analysis of oil from Citrullus colocynthis seeds, examining its physicochemical properties and antimicrobial potential. The oil's physical and chemical parameters, such as relative density, refractive index, acid value, peroxide value, saponification index, and iodine index, were assessed to determine its suitability for edible use. The oil demonstrated potential as an edible oil when compared to other edible oils. Additionally, its antimicrobial activity was evaluated against reference strains including Staphylococcus aureus, Bacillus subtilis, Escherichia coli, Enterococcus faecalis, Pseudomonas aeruginosa, and Candida albicans using well diffusion and disk diffusion methods, indicating its potential therapeutic applications.
