Evaluation of the Phenotypic, Proliferative, and Secretory Profile of Mesenchymal Stem Cells from Adipose Tissue Captured by Laser-Assisted Liposuction

    Lucas da Ponte Melo
This study evaluated mesenchymal stem cells from adipose tissue (CTM-TA) obtained via laser-assisted liposuction with selective photo-stimulation, comparing them to those obtained through conventional liposuction. Eight volunteers participated, with four undergoing each method. Both groups showed similar expression of mesenchymal markers and multipotent differentiation into adipocytes, osteoblasts, and chondroblasts. The laser-assisted group exhibited lower activity in the G0/G1 cell cycle phase and higher activity in the S phase, with no significant differences in cytokine expression or cell cycle protein expression between groups. The study concluded that CTM-TA from laser-assisted liposuction are comparable in differentiation potential and safety for cell therapy applications to those from conventional liposuction.
