TLDR Improved tablets lead to faster, better drug absorption for hair loss treatment.
This document discusses the development of self-nanoemulsifying lyophilized tablets (SNELTs) to improve the clinical pharmacokinetic behavior of finasteride, a drug used to treat hair loss and benign prostatic hyperplasia. The optimized SNELTs had improved solubility, dissolution rate, and bioavailability compared to conventional tablets, leading to faster onset of action and better absorption of the drug. The study suggests that SNELTs could be a promising approach for improving the clinical efficacy of finasteride in treating hair loss.
