Analysis of the Differences in Onset Age and Hair Loss Types in Patients with Androgenetic Alopecia with or without Family History

TLDR Family history leads to earlier and more severe hair loss.
The study analyzed 1,666 androgenetic alopecia patients, comparing those with a family history (976 patients) to those without (690 patients). It found that patients with a family history experienced an earlier onset of hair loss, a lower frequency of forehead hair loss in males, and a more severe pattern of alopecia. The results indicated that the onset age, type, and severity of androgenetic alopecia were closely related to family history.
