TLDR Avoiding smoking, stress, obesity, and poor diet may help reduce hair loss in young Egyptian males.
The study assessed the influence of non-genetic risk factors on the onset and progression of androgenetic alopecia (AGA) in Egyptian males, involving 2000 subjects, including 1000 with AGA. The research identified a significant association between AGA and conditions such as acne and seborrhea. It concluded that AGA was a prevalent hair loss issue among Egyptian males, particularly young ones. The study highlighted several potential risk factors, including smoking, stress, obesity, family history, lack of exercise, hypertension, and an unbalanced diet. It suggested that avoiding these risk factors might help improve the condition.
