Successful Management of Methicillin-Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus (MRSA)-Associated Pyoderma in a Dog

    A 3-year-old male beagle with recurrent generalized cutaneous lesions and alopecia due to methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA)-associated pyoderma was successfully treated at University Veterinary Hospital, Thrissur. The treatment involved oral administration of linezolid and management of concurrent fungal infections. Significant improvement was noted within 10 days, and complete resolution of symptoms was achieved after a 28-day treatment course.
