TLDR The dog's skin infection was cured with a new antibiotic treatment and supplements.
An eleven-month-old male Bullykutta dog with a persistent skin infection was diagnosed with deep pyoderma caused by a mixed bacterial infection of Staphylococcus and Pseudomonas spp. Despite initial treatment with cephalexin, the infection recurred, leading to a switch to a 10-day regimen of Sulphamethoxazole and trimethoprim, along with omega fatty acid supplements and topical therapy. This treatment approach resulted in complete resolution of the infection and prevented further recurrence.
