TLDR miR-150 helps blood vessel cells develop and speeds up blood clot healing.
The study found that miR-150 played a crucial role in endothelial progenitor cell (EPC) differentiation by inhibiting c-Myb and activating the Akt/FOXO1 signaling pathways. This regulation enhanced the function of early EPCs and endothelial colony-forming cells (ECFCs) ex vivo. In vivo experiments demonstrated that coinjection of miR-150-transfected eEPCs with ECFCs significantly promoted thrombus recanalization and resolution, suggesting miR-150's potential as a therapeutic target for deep venous thrombosis (DVT) treatment. The study highlighted miR-150's potential in enhancing angiogenic potential and neovascularization, contributing to thrombus resolution.
