Microbial Harmony in Female Reproductive Health: Exploring the Impact of Intestinal Flora on Ovarian Function and Disease Pathogenesis

    Xiaoyan Luo
The intestinal microbiota significantly influences female reproductive health by regulating hormone levels and impacting ovarian function-related diseases such as PCOS, POI, EMS, and ovarian cancer. An imbalance in gut microbiota can alter hormone levels, potentially leading to these diseases, which are challenging to diagnose early and require extended treatment. The microbiota and its metabolites may serve as biomarkers for early diagnosis, providing new strategies for disease screening, treatment, and prognosis.
