TLDR A 15-year-old boy's smelly, yellow armpit hair improved with clindamycin treatment.
A 15-year-old male presented with progressively worsening malodorous, yellowish axillary hair, accompanied by itch and discomfort. Examination revealed creamy yellow concretions on the hair shafts, and dermoscopy showed yellowish and white structures around the hair sheath. Cultures and Wood's lamp study indicated yellowish fluorescence on the hair. Treatment with topical clindamycin 1% twice daily resulted in a good response.
