    Nilda Eliana Gómez-Bernal
TLDR Early diagnosis and strong corticosteroids are crucial for managing lymphocytic cicatricial alopecia.
This report presented two cases of lymphocytic cicatricial alopecia in women. The first case involved a 54-year-old woman diagnosed with lichen planopilaris, showing mild improvement with topical corticosteroids. The second case was a 70-year-old woman with alopecia pseudopelade of Brocq, also showing mild improvement after 3 months of similar treatment. Both cases highlighted the diagnostic and treatment challenges of lymphocytic cicatricial alopecia, emphasizing the importance of early diagnosis and the use of potent corticosteroid agents to manage hair loss and symptoms.
