TLDR A Thai boy was diagnosed with a rare hair disorder causing hair thinning and shedding.
A 13-year-old Thai boy was diagnosed with loose anagen hair syndrome, a rare hair disorder, especially in non-Caucasian children. He exhibited a single patch of hair thinning on the frontal scalp with excessive shedding and short hair growth. Microscopic examination confirmed the diagnosis by showing naked anagen bulbs with cuticle ruffling. This case was notable as there were no previously reported cases in Southeast Asian children.
