Novel Application of Light-Emitting Diode Therapy in the Treatment of Eyebrow Loss in Frontal Fibrosing Alopecia

    TLDR LED therapy can safely and effectively regrow eyebrows in people with frontal fibrosing alopecia.
    The study investigates the use of light-emitting diode (LED) therapy for treating eyebrow loss in patients with frontal fibrosing alopecia (FFA). Involving 16 participants, the therapy was administered weekly for 10 weeks, resulting in a significant increase in total eyebrow hair count from 132 to 176 (p = 0.002). The improvements persisted six months post-treatment, and no adverse effects were reported. The study concludes that LED therapy is a promising, safe, and well-tolerated non-invasive treatment for eyebrow regrowth in FFA patients, though further research with larger sample sizes is needed to confirm these findings and establish standardized protocols.
